Title
Gold Thimble, 1822-1830
Description
This gold thimble, though created in the following decade after Elizabeth gave the two gold thimbles to her young great niece and a family friend's daughter (whom Elizabeth acknowledges is her name-sake), likely represents a similar style to what she purchased for them. Edward P. Lescure worked alongside the silversmiths Harvey Lewis and Philip K. Garrett, whom Elizabeth purchased gifts from.
