Description
The subject wears a blue dress heavily embellished with white or silver embroidery, ruching and lace at her elbows, and lace at her neckline. She wears an elaborate jewel necklace with a blue bow visible at the nape of her neck, large earrings, and a large floral hairpiece. She has a large pink rose with rose buds on her breast and holds a string of paper flowers in her hands. She stands in a wooded landscape. Insrcibedon the back: “Elysabeth Boush/AE 16 A. D. 1769/ Durand pinxt.”
